This patient can only just get away without a breast lift and the extra scarring that a lift involves. On her before side-on view you can see that the nipple is at the same level as the fold under the breast. If it was any lower than this, implants alone would not do the job. A “lifting effect” has been achieved by centring the middle of the implant at the level of the nipple and therefore lowering the fold under the breast. In the after side-on view you can see that the nipple is now in the centre of the breast not towards the bottom of it as in the before view. The high profile implant was placed in front of the muscle to maximise the “bucket handle effect”. Compare this patient with patient number 19 who had exactly the same implants also in front of the muscle. This emphasises that the biggest factor influencing what you will look like after implants is what you look like beforehand.
